London Tourist Board @
Circle.com

The
London Tourist Board came to Circle.com with a request for a completely
new website which would reside on a content management system which
would allow LTB staff to easily add and update content. My brief my
creative director was to come up with a quick-and-dirty solution in
a few days (as timing was extremely tight) and also to explore some
branding ideas which could be developed later on. As the
LTB had
no branding
to speak
of and were
a quite conservative where design was concerned, I opted to give the
content precedence over the design in the main body of the website but
also to design a splash page that would be simple, conservative and
yet would colourfully depict the variety that London offers. The only
branding clues existed in the LTB logo and I tried to match the colours
of the logo with the colours in the three London photos on the splash
page in order to create branding unity.
Note: The site as I designed it no longer exists (it
has been taken over by another design company) so I am presenting you
below with a slide
show consisting of screen shots of the site I had grabbed at the time.
